Rescuing and rehoming rats in Lincolnshire

Lincoln Rat Rescue

How You Can Help

Lincoln Rat Rescue is entirely self funded. We are always very grateful of any donations such as cages, food, houses, safe bedding, Carefesh bedding, treats and toys. Due to location, we cannot always collect donated items, and would be very grateful of delivered items. We have donation points in Helpringham, Sleaford and Boston.

If you would like to submit a monetary donation please click on 'Contact Us', or email

All monies donated go towards our endless vets bills, food supplies, cage equipment, and travel costs involved in running our large and successful rescue.

Want to foster? We have a database of nationwide volunteers who from time to time will foster for LRR. Fostering has many benefits, not only for the animals involved, but also our foster carers tell us of the immense satisfaction they get from being able to really make a difference. If you'd like to become one of our foster carers, please click on the 'Contact Us' button at the top of the page, or email

Please note that you must be age 18 or over to apply to become a foster carer.

Want to adopt? We are always looking for caring, loving forever homes for our rescue rats. If you can offer such a home for any of our lovely rescues, please contact us for an adoption form. We will require proof that you have permission to keep pets if you do not own the house you are living in, and a homecheck will be carried out first. Don't worry, this is not to check if you have done the washing up, it's just to make sure your home and family and are compatible with the rats you wish to adopt.

All animals will only be rehomed on the understanding that they will not be used for any breeding purposes, or for exotic pet food!!!

Adoption Fees:

Castrated buck - 35
Everyone else - 5     Please note that our adoption fees are the suggested minimum donations.

Please click on 'rats needing homes' at the top of the page, where details of our current rescues can be found. These rats really do need your help, so please help them either by considering adoption or maybe donating some treats!
